Description
The Walter Reed Society’s 25th anniversary coin is two inches in diameter and features the Swiss/Geneva Cross representing medical assistance; the purple color represents the jointly staffed military medical facilities. Centered on the Swiss Cross is the Torch of Knowledge.
On the coin’s obverse, centered on the cross, is the image of Major Walter Reed. Around the outside of the Swiss Cross is the Society’s motto, “Sustaining the Legacy Beyond Excellence.” Surrounding the torch, “25 Years of Service – 1996-2021.”
