Veteran’s Scholarship
Sponsored by the Walter Reed Society. This program is designed to provide scholarships for members of the military and uniformed Services. Specifically: spouses of active-duty military and uniformed services, veterans and their spouses, wounded warriors and their spouses, and surviving spouses.
Minimum eligibility requirements:
- Current member of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).
- *NEW in 2024* Walter Reed Society will sponsor the cost of AHIMA student memberships for interested veterans and spouses of veterans. Email [email protected] for more information about this opportunity!
- Currently enrolled in a health information program accredited by CAHIIM in the United States.
- Achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 (out of 4.0).
- Must have at least one full-time semester or credit equivalency remaining to complete their educational program after the scholarship award date (after August 1st, 2024).
- Submit a completed online application (including all of its components).
- Have not been awarded any AHIMA Foundation scholarship for the academic degree being sought through this application.
